Delete your account
You can close your StringBean account whenever you want. Here is how, and exactly what happens when you do.
Last updated August 18, 2026
From inside the app
Open your profile, then Delete my account. It asks once to be sure, and then it is done. This works in the phone apps and on the website.
If you cannot sign in
Write to privacy@stringbean.tech from the email address on the account and say you want it deleted. We will check it is really you, do it, and write back to confirm. We answer within 30 days and usually the same week.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in. Nobody can ever log in as you again.
- Your name, your email address and your picture.
- Your place in every company you belonged to. You stop being able to see any of their work.
- Every phone you registered, so no notification follows you.
What is kept, and why
The work itself stays: the jobs, the answers, the photos, the times somebody arrived and left. Your name comes off it and it reads as done by a removed person.
This is deliberate. A building's record of inspections and repairs is something its owner may be legally required to keep, and something an insurer or an inspector may ask to see years later. A record that quietly deleted itself when somebody left the company would be worse than no record: it would be a record that lies by leaving things out.
If you believe something in that record should not be there, write to us and say which and why. We will look at it.
One thing that will stop you
If you are the only owner of a company that still has people in it, we will not let you delete yourself, because it would leave everybody else locked out with nobody able to help them. Make somebody else an owner first, then delete your account.
How long it takes
The account goes immediately. Backups roll over within 30 days, after which nothing of you is left in them either.
